These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, the booking of our tours and travel packages, and participation in trips and activities organized or arranged by Ghumakkad.
By making a booking, paying an advance or participating in any Ghumakkad trip, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. ABOUT GHUMAKKAD
Ghumakkad Best Adventure Tours is an adventure travel company offering travel experiences including trekking, camping, river rafting, wildlife experiences, road trips, sightseeing tours, group tours, customized trips and other travel-related services.
Our trips may involve services provided by third-party hotels, homestays, transport operators, guides, activity providers, safari operators, local authorities and other service providers.
2. BOOKING & CONFIRMATION
A booking request is considered confirmed only after Ghumakkad has confirmed the booking and the required payment or advance has been received.
Availability of accommodation, transportation, permits, activities and other services is subject to confirmation.
Prices displayed on the website may be subject to availability, seasonality, group size, transportation availability, accommodation availability and other operational factors.
A package price applies only to the services specifically mentioned in the package details.
Any service, activity, meal, transportation or facility not specifically mentioned as included shall be considered excluded.
Customers are responsible for checking the package details, itinerary, inclusions, exclusions and important information before making payment.
Booking confirmation, payment receipts and other booking communications may be provided through WhatsApp, email, telephone or other communication channels used by Ghumakkad.
3. PRICES & PAYMENTS
All package prices will be displayed in Indian Rupees (INR), unless otherwise stated.
The applicable price at the time of booking confirmation will apply.
Any additional charges, taxes, permits, entry fees, transportation charges or other costs not included in the package will be payable by the customer where applicable.
Customers must complete payments according to the payment schedule communicated by Ghumakkad.
Failure to make the required payment within the specified period may result in cancellation of the booking or loss of the reserved services.
Payment gateway charges, bank charges or transaction-related charges, where applicable, may be borne by the customer.
4. CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER
Customers may request cancellation of a confirmed booking by contacting Ghumakkad through the official communication channels.
Cancellation charges and refund eligibility will depend on:
The date of cancellation
The departure date
Amount already paid to hotels, transport providers, activity operators or other suppliers
Non-refundable bookings or permits
Package-specific cancellation conditions
Administrative or operational costs already incurred
5. REFUND POLICY
Eligible refunds will be processed after deduction of applicable cancellation charges and non-refundable amounts.
Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Processing time may depend on the payment gateway, bank or financial institution.
Amounts already paid to third-party service providers and marked as non-refundable may not be recoverable.
Ghumakkad will communicate the applicable refund amount to the customer after evaluating the cancellation request.
No refund will be payable for services voluntarily unused by the customer after the trip has commenced, unless otherwise agreed or required under applicable law.
If a service is not provided as agreed due to reasons attributable to Ghumakkad, the appropriate remedy or refund will be determined based on the circumstances and applicable law.
6. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY GHUMAKKAD
Ghumakkad reserves the right to modify, reschedule or cancel a trip when reasonably necessary due to circumstances including:
Severe weather
Natural disasters
Landslides
Floods
Road closures
Government restrictions
Permit restrictions
Safety concerns
Political or civil disturbances
Transportation disruptions
Local authority restrictions
Insufficient participation for a scheduled group departure
Unforeseen operational circumstances
Force majeure events
Where Ghumakkad cancels a trip, we will communicate the available options to affected customers, which may include rescheduling, alternative arrangements or an applicable refund, subject to the circumstances and amounts recoverable from service providers.
7. ITINERARY CHANGES
Travel itineraries are planned in advance but may need to change during the journey.
Changes may be required because of:
Weather
Road conditions
Traffic
Local restrictions
Safety considerations
Delays in transportation
Availability of accommodation
Government or forest department regulations
Wildlife movement
Trail conditions
Natural events
Other circumstances beyond reasonable control
Ghumakkad will make reasonable efforts to maintain the planned itinerary while prioritizing traveller safety.
No particular sightseeing location, wildlife sighting, sunrise, sunset or weather condition can be guaranteed.
8. ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Some Ghumakkad trips involve activities such as:
Trekking
Hiking
Camping
River rafting
Swimming
Boating
Jeep safaris
Jungle activities
Mountain travel
Outdoor activities
Adventure sports
These activities may involve inherent risks including falls, injuries, weather exposure, difficult terrain, water-related risks, wildlife encounters, transportation risks and other unforeseen situations.
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by Ghumakkad staff, guides, drivers, instructors, local authorities and activity operators.
Ghumakkad may restrict or discontinue an activity if it considers the conditions unsafe.
Participation in adventure activities is voluntary and subject to applicable safety requirements and operator rules.
9. FITNESS & MEDICAL CONDITIONS
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically fit for the activities included in their selected trip.
Customers should inform Ghumakkad in advance about any medical condition, allergy, dietary requirement or physical limitation that may affect their participation or safety.
Participants should carry prescribed medication and any relevant medical documents.
Ghumakkad may recommend that a customer avoid or discontinue an activity where participation may present a significant safety risk.
10. CHILDREN & MINORS
Children and minors may be subject to age, height, weight, fitness or other restrictions depending on the destination and activity.
A parent or legal guardian is responsible for minors travelling with the group.
Certain adventure activities may not be available to children due to safety or operator restrictions.
Parents or guardians should confirm eligibility before booking.
11. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Customers are responsible for carrying valid travel documents required for their journey.
Depending on the destination, this may include:
Government-issued identity documents
Passport
Visa
Entry permits
Travel permits
Required photographs
Other documents required by government authorities
For international or cross-border trips, including Bhutan, customers are responsible for providing valid documents and complying with applicable immigration and entry requirements.
Failure to carry required documents may result in denial of travel or entry, for which the customer may be responsible.
12. BHUTAN & CROSS-BORDER TRAVEL
For Bhutan or other international/cross-border journeys:
Entry requirements are determined by the relevant authorities.
Customers must provide accurate personal and travel information.
Required permits, passports, identification and other documents must be valid and available before departure.
Changes in immigration, permit, taxation, entry or travel regulations may affect the itinerary or cost.
Ghumakkad cannot guarantee entry where permission is controlled by government or immigration authorities.
Customers are responsible for complying with applicable laws and regulations during international travel.
13. TRANSPORTATION
Transportation may be provided through Ghumakkad or third-party transportation providers.
Vehicles may include cars, SUVs, tempo travellers, buses, jeeps, gypsies or other suitable vehicles depending on the package and group size.
Vehicle type may change due to availability, road conditions, operational requirements or group size.
Seat allocation may be subject to the vehicle type and trip arrangement.
Delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, mechanical problems, government restrictions or other circumstances beyond reasonable control may occur.
14. ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation may include hotels, resorts, homestays, guesthouses, campsites, trekking huts or other accommodation mentioned in the package.
Room type and occupancy will be according to the package.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, room allocation may be based on double, triple or other shared occupancy.
Accommodation shown in photographs may differ slightly from the actual room or property due to availability, season or operational requirements.
Ghumakkad may provide an alternative accommodation of similar category when the originally planned accommodation becomes unavailable.
15. MEALS
Meals will be provided only as specifically mentioned in the package itinerary.
Food preferences, vegetarian/non-vegetarian requirements, allergies and special dietary requirements should be communicated before departure.
Additional food, beverages, snacks or meals not included in the package will be charged separately.
16. WILDLIFE & SAFARI DISCLAIMER
Wildlife sightings are completely dependent on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
Safari routes, timings and zones may be controlled by forest departments or local authorities.
Ghumakkad does not guarantee sightings of any specific animal, bird or wildlife species.
Safari schedules may change due to weather, forest regulations, animal movement, safety restrictions or other official decisions.
17. PHOTOGRAPHS & MARKETING
Ghumakkad may photograph or record group trips, activities and events for promotional purposes, including use on social media, websites and marketing materials.
If a participant does not wish to appear in promotional photographs or videos, they should inform Ghumakkad before or during the trip.
Where specific consent is legally required, Ghumakkad will obtain it in accordance with applicable requirements.
18. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers agree to:
Follow the instructions of trip leaders, guides and activity operators.
Respect local communities and cultures.
Respect wildlife and environmental regulations.
Avoid damaging natural or public property.
Follow accommodation rules.
Avoid illegal activities.
Behave responsibly with other travellers.
Maintain appropriate conduct throughout the trip.
Carry their personal belongings safely.
Provide accurate information during booking.
Ghumakkad may take appropriate action, including removing a participant from a trip, where their conduct creates a safety risk or seriously affects other travellers or service providers.
No refund will necessarily be provided for services missed due to removal resulting from misconduct.
19. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings, valuables, cash, electronics, travel documents and luggage.
Ghumakkad is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless such liability arises under applicable law.
Customers should avoid carrying unnecessary valuables during adventure activities.
20. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
Certain services may be provided by independent third parties, including:
Hotels
Homestays
Transport operators
Drivers
Local guides
Safari operators
Adventure activity operators
Restaurants
Government-authorized service providers
Such services may be subject to the third party's own rules, availability and operating conditions.
Ghumakkad will make reasonable efforts to work with reliable service providers and coordinate the services included in the package.
21. FORCE MAJEURE
Ghumakkad shall not be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Earthquakes
Floods
Landslides
Severe weather
Epidemics or pandemics
War
Terrorism
Civil unrest
Government restrictions
Strikes
Road closures
Transportation disruptions
Border restrictions
Acts of government authorities
Other extraordinary events beyond reasonable control
In such circumstances, Ghumakkad will make reasonable efforts to assist customers and provide available alternatives.
Any refund will depend on amounts recoverable from hotels, transport operators, activity providers and other service providers, as well as applicable law.
22. WEBSITE INFORMATION
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information displayed on our website is accurate and current.
However, package prices, availability, itineraries, photographs, accommodation, transportation and other details may change.
Photographs are intended to provide a general representation of destinations and experiences and may not exactly represent the conditions at the time of travel.
Where there is a discrepancy between website information and the confirmed booking, the confirmed booking information communicated to the customer will apply, subject to applicable law.
23. PAYMENT & BOOKING FRAUD WARNING
Customers should make payments only through payment methods officially communicated by Ghumakkad.
Ghumakkad will not be responsible for payments made to unauthorized individuals, personal accounts or fraudulent payment links that have not been officially provided by us.
If you receive a suspicious payment request claiming to be from Ghumakkad, please contact us through our official WhatsApp number or other official contact channel before making payment.
24. COMPLAINTS & GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL
If you have a complaint regarding your booking or travel experience, please contact us as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.

28. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in India.
Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts and authorities having jurisdiction over the location of Ghumakkad's registered/business office, subject to applicable law.
29. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By booking a trip, making a payment or participating in a Ghumakkad tour, the customer confirms that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them.
If a customer does not agree with these Terms & Conditions, they should not proceed with the booking.
